The below was reported in Independent Financial Adviser on 26th November 2020.

A NSW advice practice has appointed a former Stanford Brown senior technical services executive as its newest associate adviser.

In a statement, CreationWealth said it had recruited Hoa Tran, who had most recently worked in technical services for Stanford Brown’s private wealth team, to the new role.

Ms Tran and CreationWealth senior financial planner Andrew Zbik had previously worked together at Sydney-based practice Omniwealth, where she worked as a financial planner for six years prior to the role at Stanford Brown.

Mr Zbik, who recently established the new practice under boutique licensee Advocate Advisory, said Ms Tran had come on board following strong client growth over its first year in business.

“It’s a cliché to say that I am delighted Hoa is joining me in my firm, but it is true,” Mr Zbik said.

“CreationWealth has grown by 55 per cent in the last year and that leads to consolidating of systems and the need for more client-facing staff, which is a key strength of hers.”

Mr Zbik said the firm was poised to bring on more staff in the new year and would also launch an online financial education course, CreationWealth Education, to empower clients to take control of their finances.

“The range of courses will include basic training fundamentals on how to approach investing and household budgeting [and] advanced training to get real results and incorporate accountability,” he said.
